History
Lorenzo L. Colacicchi and Alberto Soprani family have been doing business together for over 20 years. Lorenzo met Alberto and Patrizia (Alberto's wife) in Città di Castello, Umbria (Italy) in the mid 90’s. They cooperated in solar business and delivered stand alone solar energy systems (made in Italy) to Kenya. Mr. Colacicchi later moved his activities to the US and founded Ergon Solar in Bennington Vermont (USA) in 2004, in 2005 he then established HQ in Taipei where e quickly became a trust business partner of the Taiwan Hi-Tech solar sector.
In 2012 Mr. Colacicchi started reviewing the growth of the African renewable markets and re-entered in contact with Mr. Soprani whom joined him in forming Ergon Solair Africa Limited, which is developing a 40 MW solar project in Kisumu Kenya, thereby re-igniting the old cooperation.
Through the re-ignited cooperation, and influenced by the activities of the Soprani sector in the housing sector, Lorenzo started designing Green Settlements that unite both Solar energy and Building, and social impact. These were discussed with African local and central Governments whom responded very positively, and stimulated the creation of further Green initiatives, also in other co-related sectors.
We were then came to know of European financing opportunities under the framework of the Cotonou Agreement now substituted by the Samoa Agreement. Eurafrica Green Future was created to address this sector with holding and management, 50% Mr. Lorenzo Colacicchi and 50% Mrs. Stefania Soprani (the daughter of Alberto Soprani)
